"Overall, this collection is an engaging and thought-provoking intervention in debates about the politics and practice of migrant integration in Ireland (and beyond). By focusing on 'integration from below' the activities and perspectives of migrants themselves are brought to bear across the chapters in a fresh and urgent way." - Ethnic and Racial Studies "Through documentary analysis, ethnographic work, internet research and eighty-three in-depth, open-ended interviews with migrant activists, the book generates a comprehensive foundation for an understanding of migrant-led activism in Ireland." - Irish Journal of Sociology "Makes an important contribution to migration studies by shedding light on the complex range of ways in which migrants negotiate their position within Irish society." - Ephemera
