Dr. Nosheen Masood is currently working as Head, Department of Biotechnology, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Academically she is and assistant professor in the mentioned department. She completed her PhD in Human Molecular Genetics at the Department of Biosciences at COMSATS University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Her main research interests include molecular biology and cancer genetics, focusing on epidemiological studies, risk assessment, genomic analysis, immunohistochemistry-based diagnostics, and protein-protein interactions. She has been received various prestigious awards, notably, the Research Productivity Award 2014–2015 from the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology (PCST) category D, and Research Productivity Awards from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology for six consecutive years from 2010 to 2015. She has served as a reviewer for several international journals and has teaching experience in biotechnology, molecular biology, comparative genomics, environmental biology, regulation of gene expression, and molecular evolution. Dr. Masood has published several research articles in respected, peer-reviewed international journals and authored or coauthored various book chapters. Prof Dr Azra YasminProfessor Dr. Azra Yasmin is a distinguished academic at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She holds a pivotal role in the university’s Department of Biotechnology and Department of Bioinformatics, where her expertise and dedication have significantly contributed to both the academic and research realms. Her research is primarily focused on microbiology and biotechnology. She has published numerous research papers in reputable international journals, underscoring her prominence as a scholar. Throughout her tenure at FJWU, Dr. Yasmin has been instrumental in fostering a robust academic environment. She has mentored countless students, guiding them through complex scientific inquiries and encouraging them to pursue excellence in their studies. Her innovative teaching methods and comprehensive approach to education have earned her the respect and admiration of both colleagues and students. Beyond her academic responsibilities, Dr. Yasmin actively participates in various environmental advocacy initiatives.
