Mel Gussow is the author of the biography Edward Albee: A Singular Journey (Applause, 1-55783-447-4'), 'Conversations with Stoppard (0802134688'), 'as well as books about Harold Pinter, Samuel Beckett, and Arthur Miller. As a longtime drama critic for The New York Times, he has won the Margo Jones Medal and the George Jean Nathan Award for Dramatic Criticism. He is currently a cultural writer for the same paper and lives in New York City.
