Dimitrios S. Vlachos received his Ph.D. from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. He worked for two years as Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Nuclear Engineering, National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos,” and for eight years as Researcher at the Hellenic Center for Marine Research. From 2007 to 2013, he served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at the University of the Peloponnese and from 2013 to 2020 as Associate Professor in the same department. Since 2022, he has been Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of the Peloponnese. His research focuses on discrete variational theory, complex networks, evolutionary algorithms, physical and socioeconomic modeling, and machine learning applications in algorithmic trading. Professor Vlachos is Author of more than 110 peer-reviewed articles published in scientific journals and conference proceedings.
