Dr. Luiz Drude de Lacerda is Full Professor at the Federal University of Ceará’s Institute of Marine Sciences. He obtained his BSc, MSc, and PhD in Biophysics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and his research focuses on marine ecology, biogeochemistry, toxicology. He is a Senior Researcher at the National Research Council of Brazil and a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, the Brazilian Climate Fund, the World Academy of Scientists, the Future Coasts Academy, the International Society for Mangrove Ecosystems, and the UN Expert Panel of the Regular Process World Ocean Assessment. He has led the development of 21 books.
