“Bravo to Annwyn Avalon and Suzanne O’Gara who part the mists of Avalonian legend to reveal the enigmatic Morgana. They show that she has more power and depth than any of the wide variety of roles—dark goddess, faery queen, healer, pop culture icon—in which she has been portrayed. The Many Faces of Morgan le Fay pulls together fragments scattered in folklore, myth, history, and literature to illustrate her many forms, some of which are much older than expected. Although we may see Morgan le Fay more clearly now, she will always remain a deeply felt liminal and intriguing presence in our minds and hearts.”—Sandra Kynes, author of A Miscellany of Fairy Folk, Myths and Magic, The Witches’ Encyclopedia of Magical Plants, and many other books“A powerful exploration of Morgana, The Many Faces of Morgan le Fay braids together history, myth, and personal relationship to bring this great Lady to a new generation of magickal practitioners. Annwyn and Suzanne leave no stone unturned in the lore in their exploration of this patron of witches and magicians and provide the means to make direct contact yourself.”—Christopher Penczak, cofounder of the Temple of Witchcraft“As a priestess who knows the painstaking work of gathering scattered sources to revive ancient spiritual traditions, I deeply appreciate what Annwyn Avalon and Suzanne O’Gara have accomplished here. They gather Morgan le Fay’s many threads without diminishing her mystery, while maintaining both historical and ethical rigor in their presentation of Morgan as a dynamic deity. The Many Faces of Morgan le Fay is a book for all Avalonian traditions to be inspired by.”—Elyse Welles, author of Sacred Wild“The Many Faces of Morgan le Fay by Annwyn Avalon and Suzanne O’Gara is a wonderful new book about this ancient sorceress, which reads as though you are sitting in temple listening to the priestesses themselves discussing this enchanting figure, her stories and myth, and the impact that Morgan le Fay has had on their individual lives. It is very much a peek behind the curtain—or perhaps a lifting of the mists of Avalon—to see a world of magic and empowerment which is clearly so deeply meaningful to these authors.”—Joey Morris, author of Celtic Hedge Witchery and Nine Paths to the Morrigan
