Mr Karan Jolly is a rhinology and skull base surgeon in one of the largest tertiary university hospitals in the UK. Having completed his training in the UK he has obtained an overseas fellowship in Vancouver in advanced sinus and skull base surgery. He has published in excess of 60 research articles and several book chapters, as well as being a lead editor on several books. He has a particular interest in education and teaching endoscopic sinus surgery. Recently he has completed a PhD in Anterior Skull Base surgery and reconstruction.Dr. Janjua is a Clinical Professor in the Division of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Dr. Janjua has dedicated Academic Rhinology practice specializing in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and the Endoscopic Management of Skull Base Tumours. Dr. Janjua has an interest in innovative endoscopic technology & techniques, and is highly committed to education in Endoscopic Nasal Surgery. Dr. Janjua is the Director of the ‘Advanced Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery’ Fellowship Program at the Vancouver General Hospital. Dr. Janjua was the recipient of the UBC Department of Surgery ‘Educator of the Year’ award in 2024, selected amongst his 600+ peers. Dr. Janjua is an active researcher with publications in several top-tier Rhinology journals and the author of 10 book chapters in Rhinology & Skull Base Surgery. He has been an invited speaker at more than 50 academic meetings and a Keynote Lecturer at International Sinus & Skull Base Surgical Courses spanning 3 different continents.
