"In a time in which values of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) have been under assault, Norma Riccucci has updated an already classic, pinnacle text with much needed discussion of how public administration can make public services fair for everyone. Featuring a thorough review of key topics and issues, Riccucci deftly weaves and balances summary, analysis, and recommendations to showcase the subtleties of DEI in public administration and also to demonstrate how dismantling unjust systems makes everyone’s lives better. This is a must-read work for anyone working in public service." — Sean McCandless, University of Illinois at Springfield, USA"Professor Riccucci’s second edition addresses some of the most pressing issues faced by American institutions – systemic and systematic discrimination against Blacks, Latinx and Indigenous persons, among others. Throughout the text, all key facets of diversity in the workplace are emphasized with appropriate examples and practical strategies to combat discrimination. This text serves as an excellent resource for anyone working in the area of diversity, diversity management, inclusion and social equity, and it is written by a leading scholar in the field of public administration." — Meghna Sabharwal, University of Texas at Dallas, USA
