Ann McElroy received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1973. She is Associate Professor of the Department of Anthropology of the State University of New Yolk at Buffalo. Barbara Rylko-Bauer received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Kentucky in 1985. She is Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at Michigan State University.
