Love Yourself

These essays don't seek to define self-love, rather, they show self-love in action. Further, they show self-love on a spectrum of feelings and experiences that often oscillate from apathy to self-hate and beyond. Throughout this book, the reasons for why these experiences exist on a level that are not only personal, but political, are analysed and critiqued. Such as the experiences of Asian Americans, immigrants, and Indigenous peoples, which have deep roots in systemic racism, patriarchy, and colonialism. Through this, the resilience that comes from a long-upheld, active resistance to oppression shines through as a beacon of hope - showing the way forward. 

These essays exist to remind you, dear reader, that you are not alone. No matter what your personal circumstances may be, no matter what your journey looks like right now. Here is a book written by twelve people from around the world who are walking this path with you. Wherever this journey may take us, I look forward to being by your side.
