Long Story Short

Long Story Short is a practical, Christ-centered family devotional that helps busy parents share the big story of the Bible with their children in just ten minutes a day.Written by bestselling children’s author Marty Machowski, this engaging resource guides families through the Old Testament with clear teaching, helpful illustrations, and easy-to-follow discussion prompts. Rather than leaving parents to piece everything together on their own, Long Story Short shows how the events of the Old Testament fit into God’s plan of salvation and consistently points readers to the true hero of Scripture.Designed for real family life, this devotional breaks the Bible into manageable, five-day-a-week readings that make regular family Bible study feel doable instead of overwhelming. It also serves as a companion to The Gospel Story Bible, reinforcing and expanding on its teaching to help children connect individual stories to the larger redemptive story of Scripture.
