"I felt excitement as I read through the incredible list of mediations in this book. Think of it as your personal meditation bible, filled with practice options that would fit any mood, any situation, any moment in your life."—Dr. Itai Ivtzan, author of Awareness Is Freedom"Celebrating the meditative experience in all its forms, this book is the perfect place to begin if you seek guidance on meditation. This comprehensive exploration invites into your own practice the one that most suits the needs of your heart and soul."—Elena Brower, bestselling author of Practice You"Meditation saved my life. Literally. When I learned it in 1968 at the age of eighteen (Transcendental Meditation, in my case) I had dropped out of two high schools, been arrested for drugs twice, and had started dabbling in hard drugs. One fateful evening, reading Zen Flesh, Zen Bones while high on some psychedelic, I realized that by comparison with those who had seriously striven for enlightenment, I was just fooling around and would live a short, miserable life unless I changed course. I resolved to stop taking drugs and learn meditation. Two weeks later, I learned. My initial experience was profound, and my life was soon transformed. I haven't missed a meditation since that first day of instruction. This book offers an overview of many forms of meditation and their underlying mechanics. Shai does not recommend that you learn and practice them all. His aim is to help you find one that suits you. I hope you do, and that you benefit from its practice as much as I have from mine."—Rick Archer, creator and host of Buddha at the Gas Pump podcast"Shai has written a real magnum opus on meditation, which shows how indeed it is a subject that is vast and extremely powerful and effective. There are multitudes of books on meditation, but few are like this book, which demystifies meditation without simplifying or diluting it. The book addresses, with some tenderness and care, meditation as the meeting with the existential ground of our being, rather than another self-improvement skill. It wisely relates to meditation as an invitation to a more unlimited view of ourselves, and as an open door to the sublime. There is wonderful precision and an insightful summary of many of the main meditation methods commonly available, but it does not lose sight of the way 'the mind, by its very nature, is made of infinite space,' in Shai's words. I recommend this book as a companion to those who would like to become familiar with meditation in all its great richness."—Dr. Stephen Fulder, author of What's Beyond Mindfulness and The Five Powers"Shai Tubali is a very advanced soul here to guide us to the truths within ourselves. In reading this outstanding masterpiece, you will learn about yourself on the deepest level."—Echo Bodine, author of How to Live a Happily Ever Afterlife
