Beskrivning
More and more libraries are working to organize their own library camps or unconferences - open, friendly and refreshingly informal gatherings for librarians to unite, exchange ideas, and share knowledge. This book provides you with the practical, step-by-step guidance you need to bring your vision of organizing a library camp to life. Author Steve Lawson walks you through the process from start-to-finish, with guidance for setting a date and location, organizing important technological components, planning events, and gathering equipment. You'll find advice for setting a budget, marketing your camp, and conference-day management, as well as tips for dealing with unexpected problems and methods for evaluating your camp's success.

"There is no other book out there on unconferences for the library world. Library or library association staff who are organizing or thinking about organizing an event would do well to consult this book."
