Paul Lodge is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford and a Professorial Fellow of Mansfield College, Oxford. He is the editor and translator of Leibniz's Correspondence with De Volder (Yale, 2013); the editor of Leibniz's Key Philosophical Writings: A Guide (with L. Strickland, OUP, 2020), Locke and Leibniz on Substance (with T.
