He is a Doctor of Engineering and enjoys the State Council Government Special Allowance, Chongqing Engineering Survey and Design Master, Chongqing Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Leading Talent, and National Excellent Highway Science and Technology Worker.He has been engaged in long-term scientific research on the design and testing of tunnels and underground engineering. He has led and undertaken multiple provincial and ministerial level scientific research and large-scale design projects. He has won 6 first prizes and 7 second prizes of provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards, 4 first prizes of provincial and ministerial level excellent design awards. He has 18 national invention patents and edited 4 industry standards. His main research directions include the safety of underwater tunnel structures, structure health diagnostics, energy-saving and environmental protection in urban tunnels and guidelines for the construction of comprehensive utility tunnels. He has received numerous honors, including Outstanding Engineer in Highway Tunneling in China, National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker in Highways, Craftsman of Utility Tunnels in China, Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions in Jiangsu Province, Excellent Engineering Survey-and-Design Engineer in Jiangsu Province, Master of Survey-and-Design in Nanjing.He is also a member of the Chinese Committee of the Tunnel Committee of the World Road Association (PIARC), actively participating in various international academic organizations and engaging in multiple international collaborative research projects. He has successfully completed over 20 national, provincial, and ministerial level research projects, focusing on complex tunnel construction, establishment and evaluation of tunnel structure health monitoring systems, and sustainable tunnel construction and maintenance. As the primary inventor, he has authored over 70 papers and holds 14 invention patents and 11 utility model patents. Additionally, he possesses 6 software copyrights and has published 7 monographs as the main author. He has received 21 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards. He also serves as an editorial board member for the Tunnel Construction Journal and the East China Geology Journal.Yao Rong has long been engaged in the research and promotion of highway testing and quality control technologies in the transportation industry and has accumulated rich engineering practical experience and solid scientific research capabilities. Currently, he is the general manager of Jiangxi Communications Investment Maintenance Technology Group Co., Ltd. he has been granted many titles and honors, including "State Council Government Special Allowance", "China Quality Artisan", "Jiangxi Provincial Government Special Allowance", candidate of "Jiangxi Province Millions of Talents Program", "Ministry of Transport Young Scientific and Technological Talent", and “Outstanding Individual of Strategic Research of Ministry of Transport”. He also serves as a Chinese Committee member of the Tunnel Technical Committee of the World Road Association (PIARC), Vice Chairman of Jiangxi Provincial Transportation Standards Committee, and Director of Key Laboratory of Highway Bridges and Tunnel Structures in Jiangxi Province.In recent years, he has led over 20 scientific research projects, published more than 60 academic papers and 3 monographs, and obtained the authorization of 17 patents (including 8 invention patents and 9 utility model patents). He has won 2 first, 3 second, 3 third prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards, as well as 1 outstanding and 1 second prizes of municipal science and technology progress awards. He has also served as a consultant for the government strategic planning and is the main drafter of the Implementation Plan for a Strong Province in Transportation in Jiangxi.
