It begins with natural law and culminates in Derridean deconstruction. The other main strength is the way it introduces each chapter with a concrete case study (e.g. apartheid law prohibiting mixed marriages, a case of domestic violence, imposition of the War Measures Act), and then explores what each of the theories canvassed in that chapter can contribute to our understanding of that case. I found this very effective, and could easily see how to structure a lecture around this structure."
