EC DORGAN writes weird fiction and horror stories on Treaty 6 Territory in the Edmonton area. Her work has been has published in literary journals including The Dark, Augur Magazine, and the Ex-Puritan, and in anthologies such as Northern Nights (Undertow Publications), Harvest the Night: An Anthology of Folk Horror (Chthonic Matter), and Afterlives: The Year’s Best Death Fiction (Psychopomp). In 2024, Writers’ Trust of Canada named Dorgan a “Rising Star,” selected by Hiromi Goto, in 2025, she received the Writers’ Guild of Alberta Howard O’Hagan Award for Short Story. She is a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta.
