The volume investigates selected aspects of language, communication, literature and culture. Adopting different perspectives, frequently crossing the boundaries between languages and cultures, the authors examine literary motifs, symbols, metaphors, colour terms and worldviews in various texts. Moreover, some contributions concentrate on political and ecological discourses, taking into consideration recent conflicts and the challenges they pose, whereas others present studies in translation and language education, focus on urban linguistic landscapes and explore colour associations.
