Brian Thorne (b. 1937) is an internationally renowned scholar and a co-founder of the Norwich Centre for Personal, Professional and Spiritual Development. A pioneer of the person-centred approach in the United Kingdom, he served for many years as the Director of Student Counselling at the University of East Anglia, where he is now Emeritus Professor. His prolific writing explores the profound intersection of psychotherapy and spiritual experience. Major publications include Behold the Man: A Therapist's Meditations on the Passion of Jesus Christ (1991), Person-Centred Counselling: Therapeutic and Spiritual Dimensions (1992), and The Mystical Power of Person-Centred Therapy (2002).
