This volume concerns judges, judgment and judgmentalism. It studies the Victorians as judges across a range of important fields, including the legal and aesthetic spheres, and within literature. Daniel J.R. Grey is Lecturer in World History since 1800 at the University of Plymouth. Among his recent publications are articles in Cultural and Social History, History Workshop Journal and Media History. Annika Bautz is Associate Professor in English and Head of the School of Humanities and Performing Arts at the University of Plymouth.
