Jersey Geology Trail

Jersey is the largest of the British Channel Islands and has a geology that is different to that of the United Kingdom. The international importance of Jersey’s geology has been widely recognised, including by the British Geological Survey and Jersey's government which has recently protected the most important sites. The Jersey Geology Trail is an innovative guide to Jersey’s geological heritage which takes its readers on six guided tours to the island’s most stunning and significant geology sites. The geological trails outlined includes detailed maps, directions and descriptions and the guide comes complete with an introduction to Jersey’s geology, a glossary, detailed descriptions of the locations visited and over 75 photographs of geological features. Jersey Geology Trail was originally published in 2004 and this edition represents a reproduction  (with minor alterations) of that publication. It remains the foremost practical guide to exploring and understanding Jersey’s spectacular geology.
