Penelope J. Corfield is Emeritus Professor at Royal Holloway, London University. Publications include: The Georgians: The Deeds and Misdeeds of Eighteenth-Century Britain (2024); and she also studies long-term dynamics of Time-Space. From 2019-23 she was President of the International Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies; and she believes strongly in international humanism. Gregory S. Brown is History Professor at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA; and Senior Research Fellow at Oxford University’s Voltaire Foundation.
