Intercultural Theology

Mark J. Cartledge is Senior Lecturer in Pentecostal and Charismatic Theology and the Director of the Centre for Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies at the University of Birmingham, UK. David Cheetham is Senior Lecturer in Theology and Religion at the University of Birmingham, UK and specializes in the philosophy of religion and inter-religious studies.

This book, written mostly by theologians of European origins, challenges the universalistic claims of the Western theologies. It examines cases from at least four continents and various confessional families: Catholic, Protestant, and Pentecostal. The writers provide helpful suggestions for the study of the inter-relationship among various contextual theologies. Scholars interested in the fields of contextual theologies, comparative theology, and world Christianity will find this a useful companion.
