Dr. Yuexin Han received his B.E. degree in Mineral Processing Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1984, the M.E. degree in Minerals Exploration from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree in Mineral Processing Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1992. Since Jul. 1998, Dr. Han hasbeen in College of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University as a Professor. Since 2016, he has served as the dean of College of Resources and Civil Engineering of Northeastern University.Dr. Han focuses on the research of efficient development and utilization of complex refractory mineral resources, safe disposal and efficient utilization of solid waste resources, and preparation of high-performance mineral materials. He proposed the stepped flotation process to treat the carbonate-bearing iron ores, and a 3 million t/a demonstration project was completed, realizing the efficient utilization of carbonate-bearing iron ores. He also proposed the hydrogen based mineral phase transformation technology for processing the complex refractory iron ore resources, the 1.65 million t/a and 600000 t/a industrial production lines have been built in Jiuquan Iron and Steel Co. and Zambia, respectively. It is expected to revitalize more than 20 billion tons of refractory iron ore resources. The calcium sulfate whisker and nano calcium carbonate mineral material technology developed by him have been industrialized. Dr. Han has undertaken more than 10 national projects such as the 13th Five Year Plan National Key Research and Development Projects, the Science and Technology Support Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Natural Science Foundation, and undertaken more than 40 enterprise scientific projects. He has published more than 300 papers and 4 academic books, and authorized more than 50 international and national invention patents. Dr. Han has won 1 national award and 6 provincial and ministerial awards. He also served as the director of the National-local Joint Engineering Research Center of High-efficient exploitation technology for Refractory Iron Ore Resources. Dr. Yongsheng Sun received his B.E., M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Mineral Processing from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 2009, 2011 and 2015, respectively. Since Sep. 2020, Dr. Sun has been in School of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University as a Professor.Dr. Sun focuses on the research of clean and efficient utilization of refractory mineral resources. His recent research interests include: suspension magnetization roasting of refractory iron ore, coal-based reduction of refractory iron ore, theory and techniques of mineral phase reconstruction, etc. Since 2013, Dr. Sun has published about peer-reviewed technical papers in international journals and conferences. He has the experience of chairing 12 research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Fok Ying-Tong Education Foundation, etc. The major awards obtained involve the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Liaoning Province Science and technology Progress Award, the second prize of Metallurgical Science and Technology Award, as well as the Excellent Doctoral Thesis Award by China Particle Society. He has been granted 15 patents and co-authored 2 monograph supported by National Publication Foundation.Dr. Peng Gao, a Ph.D. in Mineral Processing Engineering of Northeastern University in 2011, professor and doctoral supervisor in 2020, National Youth Talent Program candidate, and National Key R & D Project chief scientist. He is currently Vice President of the College of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University, Deputy Director of National-local Joint Engineering Research Center of High-efficient exploitation technology for Refractory Iron Ore Resources, and Director of National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center. Served as a youth editorial board member and editorial board member of International Journal of Minerals, Metallurgy and Materials, Journal of Central South University (Science and Technology), Metal Mine and other journals.Dr. Gao is mainly engaged in the research on the theory and key technologies for the efficient development and utilization of national strategic metal mineral resources and has made many scientific research achievements in the frontier disciplines and engineering fields, such as the clean and efficient utilization of refractory polymetallic iron ore resources, the recycling of iron-containing solid waste and the new crushing and grinding methods. In recent five years, he has presided over more than 30 research projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and major development projects of enterprises.Dr. Gao has published more than 100 academic papers and 3 monographs; authorized more than 40 international and national invention patents, and as the project leader and the backbone of the team to implement the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of more than 60 million yuan, at home and abroad to build several refractory iron ore resources hydrogen-based mineral phase transformation demonstration project. He has won one National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, three Provincial Science and Technology Awards, one Provincial Teaching Achievement First Prize, and Liaoning Youth Science and Technology Award.Dr. Shuai Yuan is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor of mineral processing engineering in Northeastern University, and an assistant to the dean of the school of resources and civil engineering. Dr. Yuan received his Ph.D. degree in Mineral Processing Engineering and completed postdoctoral work in Materials Science and Engineering from Northeastern University. Dr. Yuan was selected into Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST.Dr. Yuan focuses on the research of efficient utilization of strategic metal mineral resources and comprehensive utilization of mining and metallurgical solid waste resources. At present, he has presided over more than ten projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, youth projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. He served as the young editorial board member of transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China, Journal of Central South University, Journal of Engineering Science, China metallurgy and other periodicals. He has published more than 30 academic papers in domestic and foreign journals as the first and corresponding author, of which more than 20 are included in SCI. More than 40 international and national invention patents have been authorized, and 61.62 million yuan of scientific and technological achievements have been transformed as the main implementer. Dr. Yuan was also awarded the first prize of scientific and technological invention of Liaoning Province, the first prize of teaching achievement of Liaoning Province, the gold prize of invention and entrepreneurship project of China Invention Association, green mine Youth Science and technology award, etc.
