Tomasz Komornicki, Professor Tomasz Komornicki, director of the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) in Warsaw; professor at the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin; President of the Committee for Spatial Economy and Regional Planning, PAS, head and participant of many Polish and international research projects (HORIZON, ESPON, and INTERREG); in 2010 member of the scientific team preparing the Territorial Agenda of the EU 2020. His main areas of interest are socio-economic geography, transport geography, territorial interactions, and spatial planning.Maciej J. Legal advisor participating in numerous court and administrative cases related to spatial planning. In the implementation of projects and publications, he has an extensive cooperation with representatives of other countries (including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Ghana, and Germany).
