Gabriele Centi - Full Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Messina and President of the European Research Institute of Catalysis (Brussels, Belgium). He works on heterogeneous catalysis, processes and technologies for energy and chemical production, and biomass conversion. He is chief editor of the Journal Energy Chemistry and the volume series Studies in Surface Science and Catalysis, and formerly of the journal ChemSusChem. Martino Di Serio - Full Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Naples "Federico II." His activities are focused on the study of low environmental impact processes for the production of biochemicals and biofuels. He has been president of the Division of Industrial Chemistry of SCI. He is the author of numerous papers, book chapters, and patents devoted to catalysis, kinetics, and reactors. He is Specialty Chief Editor (Chemical Reaction Engineering) of the journal Frontiers in Chemical Engineering. Ilenia Rossetti - Full Professor of Chemical Plants at the University of Milan, develops processes and plants (e.g., catalytic or photocatalytic) to improve the environmental sustainability of basic chemistry and for the conversion of energy and renewable raw materials. She coordinates the GI of Chemistry for Renewable Energy at SCI, is director of her department's Lab-Analysis, has been editor of books and journals, and has received national awards. Antonella Salvini - Associate Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Florence where he coordinated for 8 years the OpenLab Center for Science Education and Outreach. Scientific coordinator of the laboratory VALORE for the Valorization of algal masses and agro-industrial by-products and the reduction of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, she carries out research on catalysis, biopolymers, adhesive formulations and materials for the conservation of cultural heritage. Giorgio Strukul - Formerly Full Professor of Industrial Chemistry at Ca' Foscari University Venice for forty-seven years. He was president of the Division of Industrial Chemistry of SCI. His scientific interests are mainly focused on catalytic oxidation, green chemistry issues and enantioselective catalysis, where he authored numerous papers, book chapters, and patents. He received several awards (Federchimica National Award, Paolo Chini Lecture, Emanuele Paternò Medal).
