“Looking at these photographs, you would almost think that Kennerly has been at every major event in the last 60 years!”— Todd J. Tubutis, Director, The Center for Creative Photography, The University of Arizona“Kennerly is our country's chronicler of the latter half of the twentieth century, and the first part of the twenty-first. His remarkable canon of work reminds us of our greatest triumphs and our ebbs of grief. In a way, he picks up where Teddy Roosevelt leaves off.” — Ed O’Keefe, CEO of the Roosevelt Library Foundation"In the Room: 60 Years on The Front Lines of History is a book filled with stunning, history-defining photographs and the fascinating stories behind them." — Jonathan Karl, Chief White House Correspondent, ABC News“It’s really an excellent, wonderful book. I recommend it highly.” — Wolf Blitzer, CNN The Situation Room"David is one of the greatest historians that this country has ever had. His pictures have captured the essence of history as we have lived it.” — Mike Barnicle, senior contributor MS NOW "Morning Joe"“As this beautiful and important volume chronicles, David has borne witness to history… He is a Herodotus with a camera. And because he has seen, so, now and forever, can we.” — Jon Meacham
