Recensioner i media
A rich and detail-packed collection of essays, drawing upon wide-ranging original research. By taking a holistic approach to Warren Hastings and his (in)famous impeachment trial the volume offers fresh insights into the man and the intellectual, imperial, political and material contexts that informed the responses of people as diverse as Edmund Burke, Fanny Burney, Jane Austen and John Wilkes. An important contribution to Hastings scholarship that will be valued by scholars and students alike.
