Immortal Longings

Each year in San-Er, the dangerously dense capitol twin cities of the kingdom of Talin, the palace hosts a set of
games. Eighty-eight competitors fight for unimaginable riches, jumping from body to body in a legal death
match.

Princess Calla Tuoleimi has been in hiding for five years since the massacre that killed her parents and left the
palace of Er empty. She was the one who did it. The palace trained her to be a fierce warrior, and now, she plans
to finish the job of destroying it. The last person standing in the games will receive an audience with the reclusive King Kasa, and she will stop at nothing to win and use the opportunity to assassinate him.

Enter Anton Makusa, an exiled aristocrat who was less successful in his attempt at treason. He has his own reasons for entering the games: his childhood love has lain in a coma for years, and he's deep in debt trying to keep her alive. He's completely out of resources, and this is his last chance at saving her. Thankfully, he's one of the best jumpers in the kingdom, flitting from body to body at will.

Calla finds both an unexpected alliance with Anton and help from King Kasa's own son, August, who wants to take the throne; but all three of them hold devastating secrets, and when Calla and Anton's partnership becomes more, she must make a choice between her lover and her kingdom.
