Christophe Hurter is a professor at the Interactive Computing Library (LII) of the French Civil Aviation University (ENAC) in Toulouse, France. In 2010 he received his PhD in computer science from the University of Toulouse. Christophe is also an associate researcher at the research center for the French military Air Force (CReA), Salon de Provence, France. His research interests include information visualization and human-computer interaction, particularly the visualization of multivariate data in space and time. He also investigates the design of scalable visual interfaces and the development of image-based rendering techniques. Throughout his career he has worked on several projects, including large data exploration tools, graph simplification (edge bundling), and paper-based interaction.
