Mauricio Salcedo-Maldonado is a practitioner and scholar on international trade law and diplomacy. He has a distinguished record representing Colombia before the WTO Dispute Settlement Body, leading free trade agreement negotiations and other international business. He oversaw Colombia's WTO legal representation (2007–2024) and was Deputy Permanent Representative to the WTO (2016–2019). He holds a Ph.D. in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute and an LLM from Georgetown University. He currently lectures at Universidad de los Andes and Universidad Externado and serves as a partner at Vali Consultores.
