Patricia McCormick is the co-author of I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up For Education and Changed the World. She is also the author of multiple acclaimed novels for young adults, and also the bestselling non-fiction titles, Cut, , and Never Fall Down, and Sold, both National Book Award finalists. Sold has been published in 32 countries, was adapted into a feature film, and carries the distinction of being the number one most banned book in the US in 2025. Her books have been named to the New York Times Notable Books list, Publishers Weekly Best Books list, NPR’s Best Books list and iTunes Best Books lists. Her journalism has appeared in The New York Times and The Washington Post, and she has been interviewed on NPR, Good Morning America, and has performed on The Moth.
