"A humorous and gentle reminder about the give and take of friendship, this wonderfully quirky story is sure to end in a giggle." Four and half stars, Sunday Telegraph, 13 August 2017"I started laughing just looking at the cover of this book. ... This very funny story has quite a serious side to it. It's really about the value of friendship and a sneaky little warning that impulsive actions could result in disaster." Four stars, Good Reading Magazine, August 2017"I Just Ate My Friend is one of those fantastic picture books that invites the reader to be a part of story. ... Kids will beg I Just Ate My Friend to be read again and again. Heidi's text and illustrations are simple but they combine to tell a very funny story. ...If you love the dark humour of Jon Klassen's This is Not My Hat you'll love I Just Ate My Friend." My Best Friends are Books Blog"This picture book is one which presents children with a gutsy, believable lookat life in the funniest and simplest way." Blue Wolf Reviews Blog
