Mer information
Leonie Hallo is an associate professor at the School of Management, Adelaide University, and a prominent researcher on senior leadership decision-making and problem-solving in complex environments. Her work focuses on the intersection of human intuition and artificial intelligence, and her extensive research portfolio spans complexity, systems of systems, and complex project management, alongside the psychological dimensions of leadership, including leadership emotions, human flourishing, human-AI interaction, and entrepreneurship. Her current research examines the impact of AI on management decision-making, the psychological dimensions of technology acceptance, and the integration of holistic systems thinking with wisdom-based decision processes. A frequent keynote speaker and reviewer for international journals and conferences, she brings this research together in The Human Renaissance to address what remains distinctly human in an age of intelligent machines
Recensioner i media
As artificial intelligence reshapes how we think, work, create, and connect, this book offers a timely and compelling reminder of what makes us fundamentally human. It is a thoughtful exploration of human agency, wisdom, creativity, and purpose, and an inspiring call to ensure that technology serves humanity rather than defining itTiep NguyenHo Chi Minh University of Technology and Engineering (UTE), Vietnam; Associate Editor, Journal of Engineering, Design and TechnologyIn the age of AI, what remains distinctly human? Dr. Hallo's answer: presence. Her five anchors, being physically present, knowing through experience, seeking meaning, relating deeply to others, and pursuing purposes that matter, are a wake-up call for a screen-tethered world. Drawing on philosophy, psychology, and cognition, she shows how AI can spark this reflection.Tom McDermottChief Technology Officer, Systems Engineering Research Center, Stevens Institute of TechnologyAs AI becomes more pervasive throughout society, the human element needs to be preserved. This book is a refreshing examination of our importance in this rapidly growing world of human-AI collaboration.Jay LiebowitzSpecial Advisor to the President on AI and Analytics, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia and co-editor of Tough Decisions: The University President’s Journey (Taylor & Francis/Routledge, September 2026)
