'In this book Professor Roy Wood does what he first did nearly 20 years ago with Dr Costas Verginis – he has created a current, comprehensive yet accessible textbook on hotel accommodation. With experts gathered from his roles in global hospitality education he covers hotel ownership, vertical disintegration, challenges of standardization versus innovation, sustainability, Airbnb and the shared economy. I have been waiting for a book like this for my students.' Erwin Losekoot, Academic Head of Programmes, Auckland Institute of Studies, New Zealand'This book provides a well informed and insightful account of hotel accommodation management. The sector is experiencing a wide variety of challenges in the way accommodation services are presented to paying guests, as well as from the availability of alternatives to hotels in accommodation provision. As always Roy Wood provides a critical and reflective analysis of hotel provision, and is a must read for all students, academics and industry practitioners alike.'
