Hermas in Arcadia

In this volume, noted critic J. Rendel Harris provides two of his classic essays on critical problems connected with the text and interpretation of the Shepherd of Hermas. To these are added three other pieces that provide methodological insight.

J. Rendel Harris (1852-1941) was educated at
Clare College, Cambridge University. He taught at Johns Hopkins University, Haverford College, and Leiden University. He was renowned for his acquisition and interpretation of ancient manuscripts.
