Hellenistic Nysa-Scythopolis I

Achim Lichtenberger is Professor of Classical Archaeology at the University of Münster and Director of the university’s Archaeological Museum, specializing in the archaeology of the Hellenistic and Roman Near East. He has been codirector of the German-Israeli Tell Iẓṭabba Excavation Project since 2019 and has codirected archaeological excavations in Jordan (Gerasa, 2011–2017) and Armenia (Artaxata, since 2018).Oren Tal is Professor of Classical Archaeology at Tel Aviv University, specializing in the archaeology of the classical and medieval Near East. He has been codirector of the German-Israeli Tell Iẓṭabba Excavation Project since 2019 and director of the Apollonia-Arsuf Excavation Project since 2007 and has excavated many other sites in Israel.
