"Mark Letteri’s Heidegger and the Question of Psychology introduces psychologists and psychotherapists to a number of key ideas proposed by Martin Heidegger—the most influential and controversial philosopher of the 20th century. Letteri’s book is at once engaging and informative. Its scope of argument provides readers with a clear and accessible grounding for Heidegger’s concerns and their implications for the ways they might think about—and “do” —psychology. Revealing a depth of scholarly knowledge and acumen, Letteri challenges readers to consider Heidegger’s greatest challenge to psychology: to re-construe its dualist and reductive image of the human being. This is a book I unreservedly recommend to all professionals and trainees who view psychology as something more than a technological tool." – Professor Ernesto Spinelli, PhD, Director, ES Associates
