Liz has beena leading international researcher in the field of head and neck cancermanagement for over 25 years and has had a long-term commitment to enhancingthe role of allied health services in the clinical care for patients and theirfamilies. Her research in this field has been integral to building the currentunderstanding of treatment impacts across survivorship, to demonstrating the impactof allied health services and the efficacy of our management, and in supportingequitable patient care through the establishment of safe, valid, and reliabletelehealth services. Her achievements have been enhanced, shaped, and enrichedby maintaining close working relationships with many local, national, andinternational clinical teams and key consumers who continue to guide and informher research.CorinaJ. van As-Brooks, SLP, PhD, MBACorinais a speech-language pathologist. Her professional career started at the NetherlandsCancer Institute, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and has evolved around researchand rehabilitation in head and neck cancer patients for more than 25 years. Shespecializes in voice, pulmonary, swallowing, and olfactory rehabilitation aftertotal laryngectomy and is dedicated to improving the quality of life oflaryngectomized patients and their families through contributing to productinnovation, access to devices, scientific research, and clinical education. Shehas published widely in laryngectomy rehabilitation and has lectured on thistopic at numerous international meetings and workshops. She is currently aconsultant for Atos Medical in medical education, clinical research, clinicalevaluations, regulatory affairs, innovation, and clinical expertise.
