"This book provides a comprehensive state-of-the-art collection of current knowledge about reference electrodes. ... this book provides an overwhelming survey in theoretical and practical aspects of currently applied reference electrodes. Due to its compactness it is a very helpful text- and reference book, suitable for students and professionals performing electrochemical measurements." (Ralf Bassler, Materials and Corrosion, Vol. 66 (11), 2015) "It is the first complete and exhaustive book on reference electrodes ... . It takes into consideration all possible media in which electrochemistry is plausible, treating the topic deeply and clearly. ... It is or should also be in the libraries of all institutions dealing with chemistry, as well as in those of teachers, well accessible to students for use in the frame of both application and theory courses." (Renato Seeber, Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, Vol. 405, 2014) "The "Handbook of Reference Electrodes' can be considered as a fundamental text which provides the most recent data and information on this most crucial instrument in electrochemical measurements. This makes the book attractive not only for anyone working in electrochemistry, from the technician to the researcher, but also for lecturers of general, inorganic, organic chemistry as well as of biochemistry. ... it is hoped that it will help to produce reliable potential data for a long time to come." (Antonio Domenech-Carbo, Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry, Vol. 17, 2013)
