Ground Vehicle Dynamics

• System Definition and Modeling.- Vehicle Models.- Models for Support and Guidance Systems.- Guideway Models.- Models for Vehicle-Guideway-Systems.- Assessment Criteria.- Computational Methods.- Longitudinal Motions.- Lateral Motions.- Vertical Motions.

From the book reviews: "The book deals with the dynamic behaviour of ground vehicles, such as automotive passenger cars, but also addresses railway vehicles and magnetically levitated trains. ... this book is a very useful companion for an advanced course on automotive vehicle dynamics ... . the mathematical depth and provided examples are adequate for postgraduate courses as an additional reference material, or for providing the foundations necessary to find practical solutions and design new vehicles." (Diego Ledezma-Ramirez, International Journal of Acoustics and Vibration, Vol. 19 (2), 2014) "It is written for students of applied mechanics, system theory, mechanical engineering, and automotive engineering. It also aims to illustrate to engineers joining or working with vehicle companies, or their suppliers, advanced methods that are the basis of software tools widely used in the automotive industry today." (IEEE Control Systems Magazine, Vol. 31, February, 2011)
