Grian is Frasan

Discover Grian is Frasan/Sunshine and Showers by Angus Peter Campbell, a collection of 150 poems presented in both Gaelic. Rooted in the lived landscapes of South Uist and Seil, these poems trace a journey through childhood, memory and belonging, where sea light and Atlantic weather shape voice and vision. Here, nature and nurture move in quiet conversation. Belief and language are tested against tide and wind. Love, in its many forms, unfolds with tenderness and restraint. The cadences of the old Gaelic tradition are present throughout, yet subtly refreshed by the distilled clarity of Japanese and Chinese verse, lending each poem a poised, contemplative strength.Grian is Frasan is a book of islands, of inheritance and of enduring light after rain.
