Alexander Newman, also known as Al Fingers, is a London-based DJ, cultural historian and musicologist. He began his publishing career at Blues & Soul magazine, working alongside Mat-C on the hip-hop magazine Fatboss, before moving into book writing, design and exhibition curation. In 2012, he founded One Love Books, a publishing house dedicated to music, art and culture.
