Graduated MBChB from Glasgow 1992, and FRCPath 2000. Appointed Senior Lecturer in Pathology in 2001 and has both a diagnostic and research component to his role. Main research interests lie around neurotrauma and neurovascular disease, and particularly assessment of human tissue in these disorders. Gabor G Kovacs, MD, PhD, FRCPC is Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto, a Consultant Neuropathologist at the Laboratory Medicine Program (LMP) at the University Health Network (UHN) and a Principal Investigator at the Tanz Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Disease.
