Good Intentions

Stephen Jackley spent 7 years in 23 American and British prisons before getting released in 2015, when he helped to found the publishing social enterprise that is now Arkbound. He now works with the justice charity, Justice in Prisons, along with the Arkbound Foundation - helping to tackle stigma towards ex-offenders and the myths surrounding imprisonment. In 2016 he was commended by HRH Prince Charles for his work with charities and community organisations.

`This debut novel brings refreshing modernity to the traditional `Bonnie and Clyde' tale. John and Sarah are two idealists, who have taken the road of crime in an attempt to pursue their mission of combating world poverty. The book opens with a daring bank heist, before progressing to a series of events that culminate in a clash between different forces. There is some interesting perspectives speckled across the chapters, some of which risk detracting from the story, but overall the plot is rich, fast and gripping.' - Jillian Dawn
