Glossar zur arabischen Epistolographie nach agyptischen Originaldokumenten des 7.-16. Jahrhunderts

The work is the first comprehensive lexical tool for pre-modern Arabic epistolography. It is based on systematic analysis of a corpus of around 500 Egyptian letters from the 7th to the 16th century CE. It covers every kind of text, including family letters, business letters, and official edicts. Keywords are provided in Arabic script with a transcription, and the transcribed letter texts are included.
