He is the author of many works on the development of the Malaysian economy, including Growth and Structural Change in the Malaysian Economy. - SHYAMALA NAGARAJ is Professor in the Department of Applied Statistics, Faculty of Economics and Administration at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. She has edited a number of works on the Malaysian economy, including a special volume of the Malaysian Journal of Economic Studies on The Financial Crisis.
