‘This empirically rich and theoretically sophisticated volume reveals afresh how rich and rewarding are the intellectual resources of critical political economy for making sense of global capitalism, its historical evolution and its deepening tensions. Bringing together leading international scholars, it is wide-ranging in its coverage of political economy and security themes, exploring in compelling fashion the sharpening contradictions within the multiple overlapping global crises. The dynamics of both globalisation and deglobalisation it focuses on generate new fragilities, instabilities and political struggles.
