He has written widely on theoretical and policy issues from national and comparative perspectives and is particularly interested in the areas of poverty, ideology and inequality.PAUL WILDING is Emeritus Professor of Social Policy at the University of Manchester, and has taught at the University of Nottingham, the University of Wales at Cardiff and the City University of Hon Kong. He is well-known for his work on ideological issues in social welfare, on professional power and welfare states, on general issues in social policy in the UK and on social policy in East Asia.
