Abiodun Raufu, PhD, a gender violence scholar, is assistant professor of Criminal Justice at Southern University and A & M College Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Raufu is a prodigious writer and a relentless researcher whose major research interests include violent victimization, policing, terrorism, and juvenile justice. His works have appeared in high-impact journals such as Criminal Justice and Behavior, The Journal of Black Studies, International Journal of Law, Crime, and Justice, Theory in Action, African Journal of Criminology and Justice Studies, The Journal of Education and Social Policy, Caleb Journal of Social and Management Sciences, The Encyclopedia of Crime, Law Enforcement, Courts, and Corrections, The Routledge Handbook of Africana Criminologies, and Guns, Gun Violence, and Gun Homicides: Perspectives from the Global South which was published by Palgrave Macmillan, among others. He is the lead author Gender Violence, Law and African Society (Rowman and Littlefield).Jiseun Sohn, PhD is Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Southern University and A&M College in Louisiana, USA. Her scholarship explores psychopathology and violent crime, with particular attention to psychopathic traits, homicide dynamics, sexual violence, and evidence-based policing strategies. Dr. Sohn’s recent peer-reviewed work has appeared in leading academic journals, including Feminist Criminology, Deviant Behavior, Policing: An International Journal, Journal of Forensic Psychology Research and Practice, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, Aggressive Behavior, and the International Journal of Criminal Justice. She is an active contributor to the field, serving on the assessment committee of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) (2025–2026) and as program chair for the Korean Society of Criminology in America (KOSCA) (2023–2025).
